Privacy notice
What we collect, and why.
This site collects very little. This notice explains what the contact form stores, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible
Pageworks TODO: John — legal entity, Cape Town, South Africa, is the responsible party. Contact us about anything in this notice at info@pageworks.co.za or 071 475 8042.
What the contact form collects
When you send an enquiry we store what you type: your name, business name, phone number, email address, suburb, the package you are interested in, and your message. We also store the date and time, a shortened and hashed form of your IP address for spam prevention, and your browser's user-agent string.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to quote and deliver the work. The legal basis is that you asked us to.
- To stop automated spam. The hashed IP address and the Cloudflare Turnstile check exist only for this.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you later ask us to, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone except the service providers below.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores enquiries in our database. Cloudflare also runs the Turnstile check that tells human visitors from bots.
- Resend delivers the email notification of your enquiry to our inbox.
- Microsoft 365 is where our email lives.
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. They are bound by their own agreements to protect it to a standard at least as high as POPIA requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep your contact details for as long as we work together and for five years afterwards for tax and accounting records.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner, because it does not need one. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. The Turnstile check on the contact form may set a short-lived cookie purely to pass its own test.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@pageworks.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually a few days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we update this page and the date at the top.
