Pageworks exists because most owner-run businesses in Cape Town either have no website, or have one that embarrasses them. The agencies are too expensive and the templates look like templates. We sit in the gap on purpose.
Walk down any high street in Cape Town and count the businesses whose only presence online is a Facebook page last updated in 2023. Their customers are searching on Google, and finding the competitor two doors down.
A good website for a café, a workshop or a plumber is not a big project. It is a small, well-defined piece of work, and it should be priced like one. So we fixed the prices, wrote down exactly what is included, and made the whole thing something you can decide on in a fifteen-minute visit.
We come to you. We look at your business the way a customer does, including what shows up when they search for you. We quote a fixed price in writing. If the price works, we build the site in about two weeks and hand it over with the domain, hosting and files in your name.
We write in plain language and we put things in writing. If you do not understand something we have said, that is our mistake to fix, not yours.
Who you are talking to
John designs and builds every site, end to end. He started Pageworks after building sites for his own ventures and watching local owners pay too much for slow, templated work. He is the one who turns your menu, photos and hours into something that loads in under a second.
Mike looks after the people side: the first visit, the quote, your Google Business Profile, and the monthly Care Plan once you are live. If you message Pageworks, he is usually the one who answers.
What we promise
Before any work starts. It changes only if the brief changes, and then we tell you the new number first.
